Stacking penalties with implants?

Do implants fall in the category of stacking penalties if two modifications overlap?

To give an example,

If I have a ballistic control system (gives rof and dmg) and i plug in a rof implant and a missile damage implant will i be penalized with the normal stacking penalties?

I know the implant does not specify but never hurts to ask and figured it would be a good question in case others didnt know also :P

Nope. Implants are entirely separate from modules. You're safe to plug in an implant with any modules.

edit Per suggestion

Often the top of the line in a given hardwiring is equivalent to training another level in that skill, though only for the bonus granted by the skill, not for satisfying prerequisites, and stacking separately (i.e. if a skill gives you 5%/level, and you have the 5% hardwiring, your total effect is 1.25*1.05=1.3125 for a positive bonus or .75*.95=.7125 for a negative bonus, not the 1.30 or .70 you would get by adding the 25% and the 5% for a 30% bonus). -EVElopedia

a better answer might have included the equation posted via dev posts. However this one works ok.
