A question about war dec mechanics.

I just left my stale 0.0 corp for a low sec corp that’s across eden (which mean I need to move at least a few assets.) my old corp was war dec’d. Am I still a viable target for wt for certain a grace period or did I leave the war as soon as I left the old corp?

Almost certain you are fine, as the War flag is attached to the Corporation flag and not an individual.

However I would not like to put it too the test, and knowing how some times bugs can occur when out of ordinary things happen I would take a cheap ship to Jita 4-4 and see if anyone shoots you.

Other thing you could do is if you know the alliance that has declared war on you then go into populated areas where you think there is bound to be someone from that alliance and see if you have any red stars in Local, just make sure you have an in date clone and a cheap ship.

TL:DR basically you should be fine, especially as I assume you switched Corps before D/T, however as with all eve caution highly advised, no AP through hi-sec that’s for sure.

If you were in the corporation that got the war declaration when it happens, you are vulnerable for any time between the war declaration going active and 24 hours after you leave the old corp.

You leave the war 24 hours after you leave the old corp assuming the declaration hit your corp before you left.

Are you sure this is true? Corp hopping to avoid wardecs is quite popular.

When a corp leaves an alliance, the wrdec remains for 24 h. I think its the same for players, but I dont know really.

Well disbanding a corp to avoid a wardec is an exploit and illegal (which is why there is a grace period on a corp leaving an alliance; in case they were the one the dec'rs were targeting). A single person corp hopping is not. Not sure why one is, but the other isn’t though. vOv
