In brief, is there any way to take a fleet that has already formed and merge it with another fleet, or do all the members of the fleet being merged have to drop and be invited individually?

Everyone has to drop current fleet, and join new fleet. It's a pain.

I am glad that CCP Devs have blogged that they check this site, hopefully they think of some clever way to swap wings into another fleet.

Just to clarify, Both fleets don’t have to dispand, only one of the fleets has to. They can all then join the other fleet. I agree it would be nice to have this option, for the boss to be able to invite the other boss to merge… Of course it will require sufficient skills to allow the merge, otherwise I see a potential exploit.

Wondering if it would be helpful to flag those with leadership skills to make it easier to assign squad/wing leaders. Not to mention automatically creating new squads if you are going to be absorbing 100+ new pilots.

Set movement on, tell ppl w/ leadership skills to take the reigns of the squads…. Thats what i do.
