APOCALYPSE Shield Tank fitting? PVE

I am a armor tanker but i recently fallen in love with shield tanking so i am looking at a good fit for a shield tank for the Apocalypse.

I would suggest avoiding that route. The Apoc's 8/4/7 layout predisposes you to an armor tank; as well, the energy weapon bonuses make Cap Rechargers as well as other utility mods useful for the limited Medium slots.

If you want to shield tank, go for a Golem, Rokh, or Dominix. Their slot layouts are far more supportive of a shield tank.

I believe you misspoke: “The Apoc’s 8/4/7 layout predisposes you to a shield tank” means that it is good for shield tanking, which is clearly not what you are saying.

At all level V skills, it has 386 gun DPS, 447 tank vs. Sansha and 9:53 cap. It also has about 10,000 grid left to play with from the PDSes that are there to stop the SPRs totally nomming the cap.

This fit is purely theoretical. You should not fly it. I've heard the Nightmare is nice. Please don't passive tank the nightmare if you should choose to get one.

(I did also EFT the Sin itself, it's less tank but more DPS)
