Great for missions, sometimes for me it's a toss up between sentry drones and heavies because heavy drones are at times easy to manage.

It's important to note that there is a Rig to upgrade the damage of sentry drones but none for heavy drones so it's possible for them to do more damage.

The PvP factor is also really important, if you're prepared for a fight or taking part in a gate camp you can leave them just within range from where you think your enemy is going to appear, you opponent can't retaliate by eliminating the drones unless they fly alllll the way over to them!

The training time for T2 sentries is the same for T2 heavies, personally I take both. However I went for training T2 heavies first for the fact that I like to AFK mission run rather than PvP.

Yes. Sentry drones are uselfull for both PVP and PVE.

Great Sentry drone boats are ships like the Ishtar, the Gila and the Dominix. For PVE it's a case of getting agro'd dropping sentries and keep moving.

In case of PVP, a large group of Sentry RR Dominix's/Armageddons (Whale's) assign their Sentry's to an FC who then deals out a massive Alpha, being capable of popping most Subcaps.

Do however take the time to train to T2's. They are worth it!

If you know how to use them in PVP they are also fearsome.

Best with an Ishtar on a defensive gate camp, these guys can insta pop an interceptor coming in... just set them to aggressive and watch the frigates fall... Of course you need excelent drone skills for sentries to be able to hit frigates, but they certainly work and have the element of surprise too.

110% yes but don't sit at t1 go for t2 sentries - they are absolutely worth the training time for both pvp and pve (when used correctly of course).
