Can Freighter BPO's be researched in a POS lab?

So I was looking at starting to manufacture Freighters, and noticed that to take any freighter from ME0 to ME1 takes over 30 days!

Now from want I know, no research job(Copy/ME/PE) in a POS lab can be over 30 days in length.

So does this mean that Freighters can only be researched in NPC stations?

I can confirm that the 30 day restriction is not true. I have no idea why this restriction is mentioned.

I placed my Obelisk BPO in my POS lab for a 33 day run ME run about a week or so ago as I have done four times before.

There is a restriction on a job to prevent people from hogging slots. However it doesn’t apply in the instance of running a job to increment the tally by 1.

There is a restriction on a job to prevent people from hogging slots. However it doesn’t apply in the instance of running a job to increment the tally by 1. For example, you cannot pop a battleship BPO in a slot and let it run to Me100 in one go. But you can get it to something like ME5 within the alloted limit.

as far as i know the 30 day limit is only if you do more than one me research lets say you want 2 me then it would take 60 days and eve would say it cannot...

In this instance where you try to do 2 x me reserch and it takes over 30 days, do you get a warning and you are not allowed to install the job or does it allow youto install it, waste your time and resources and then fail to produce anything when the job completes?

I already know that it does not let the job start in this case, Ancalagon.
