Can you pod an outlaw in hisec without loss of security status?

Asked by [ Editor ]

I know concord won't come after you for firing on an outlaw in hisec. But what if you managed to get their ship, and tried podding them?

Generally speaking, podding is never allowed in high sec space. The only exceptions to this are if you've declared war against the other person's player corp (can't war dec NPC corps, of course), or if you're in faction warfare. You can blow up the ship of the outlaw, but you can't pod him.

In addition to that, you can pod-kill your corp-mates while being in a player-controlled corp without any CONCORD intervention

Concord seriously frowns on pod killing. In high sec they'll get you no matter what and in high and null you'll take a serious sec status hit.

*edit, meant to say low sec space for standing drops, null sec is fair game. I also did not mention war, thank you for that correction.

Pretty certain you don’t take a security status hit for killing pods in 0.0. Concord doesn’t know or care about what goes on in 0.0.

Above comment is incorrect from Nathan.

Concord will NOT apprehend you in any way shape or form for pod killing in highsec or lowsec IF your corp is at war with the said pilot being podded.

Nullsec and wh space are fair game when it comes to podding. Comming from the dozens of pods I’ve killed (and lost lol) in all 3 types of security types.
