Corporate Theft

If someone steals items or assets from a corporation is it possible to find out who they are, beyond them fessing up to doing it themselves?

Unfortunately there is still no audit log for corp hangars even though this facility exists for audit log containers so no, sorry.

^^ this, no way to see who stole what. You could try checking local markets and see if any of your stuff might turn up for sale sold by a corp member. Also if you have APIs for all of your members you could try and investigate that way. Other than that just have to be paranoid as hell with whom you grant roles access roles to heh.

If they still corporate contracts that leaves a nice paper trail. It all depends on what they take from where and how.

Nope.

To this end, it is one of many reasons corps require active API keys. U see 500m worth of stuff missing, you see 475m show up on someone's alt, check contracts or market orders via API and find your guy.

Unless they traded it to a toon who you dont have the api, or your corp is of the type that does not worry about api keys, spys.

No. Though i once knew a corp that had everything in secure cans with locked stacks, that way it logs who unlocks the stack, but not how much they take and if they don't erlock the stack anyone can take it.

I once had a salvage fit Hurricane jacked from a corp hanger, eventually it showed up on a killboard. The theif didn't bother to switch out the salvage related rigs. This was after I sent a number of corp wide emails. Needless to say, this individual promptly found himself in search of a new corp.
