Display icons in 3D space but not on the overview?

I used to have it so that drones would display in 3D space with their icons and colours, but they weren't on the overview. This was great as I could still tell what was going on without having 50 billion things to scroll through. This has changed recently and now I can't seem to get them to display in 3D space without actually having them on the overview. Does anyone know how to set this back up?

While in space, click the white triangle on the overview, and select "Open overview settings". Select the "Overview tabs" tab. You can have 5 tabs, each with an overview profile and a bracket profile. What you need to do is change your current overview profile so that drones do not appear, and create a new profile where drones do appear, and set the new one as your bracket profile.

The bracket profile is the one that shows the icons in space.

This, thank you. I never really got what the whole ‘bracket’ thing was until now.

Just FYI, since the last patch that “white triangle on the overview” has become a square formed of four parallel lines. Does the same job though.

There are two elements to the "overview" selection, the overview itself and brackets. Brackets determine what is shown on the main screen.

It seems likely that the bracket selection on your current overview tab has changed to one that isn't showing drones.

A good place to start will be "Show All Brackets" which will restore all items to the main view. You get this option by r-clicking the triangle on the overview if I recall correctly.
