Do you have to fly ONLY a factions ships if you are in Faction Warfare?

I want to know if you are encouraged to fly Gallente ships ONLY if you are in the Federation. Amarr ships if with the Empire? This would be... annoying to say the least.

Unless you are a roleplayer, No You may fly any ship you can/want to fly.

Their are many Roleplaying corps out there tho that follow what faction they play as.

Ah, that was what I was looking for. I was worried that because FW is quite role oriented I was worried that they would force us to use that factions ships. Thank you!

no they are not linked what so ever, faction ships are pimped up versions of original ships (expensive) and faction warfare is a joint PVP gameplay element in EVE...
