Dual boxing PVE (0.0, Exploration, etc). Tengu/Tengu, Loki/Tengu or x/Tengu

My main account is Minmatar, and I’ve recently started a second account to train to a Tengu. I’m looking to run both doing anything from Level 4 missions, to 0.0 exploration (which is preferable to level 4’s).

The original idea was to train both accounts to a Tengu, but I had recently considered training my primary (Minmatar) to a Loki instead, so that I could stick more to the ships that I would use, and eventually use for PVP (Vagabond, Muninn, Sliepnir, etc).

So my question is would it be viable to run a Loki and a Tengu for PVE operations (or some other Minmatar ship)? Have the Tengu tank/probe/cloak/nullified, and run the Loki as DPS/cloak/nullified. I’ll be honest, I’m not entirely familiar with with Strategic Cruisers, and would appreciate any feedback, and ideas.

Thanks!

tengu can properly do it all alone. its one of the best pve ships in the game but extra dps is allways good and might make other pvp pilots twink twice before attacking

Right, and I agree that it could. But I’m looking to do it considerably quicker.

Loki is ok for PVE, it is generally shield tanked and can do huge amounts of Alpha, there is no travel time for ordinance and it’s generally quicker and more maneouverable.

2x Tengu’s will likely clear site faster though unless you fight Sansha or Blood Raiders in which case your Loki’s are better choices.

Regarding which I would use…. well,

A lot of it rests on your abilities to multi-task to be honest.

If you can multi-task well then using 2x Tengu’s will be quickest.

If not you are better off with an assisting drone boat as your second box rather then a second Tengu and a good old fashion normal cloak.

Either way that’s not minmatar.

T3’s in general a tip:

Adding the covert Subsystem will greatly diminish your DPS. When running Level 4’s and in highsec I highly suggest swapping them out.

In 0.0 it’s up to you, but dependant on where you base how far you go to run exploration sites, and how safe your systems are.

Basically I would avoid putting the covert subsystem on unless you deem the risk to high as it really will over halve your DPS potential effectively extending the amount of time you are exposed in a site and therefore vulnerable to attack.
