MegabitOne is on the correct track however I think he may have gotten confused about how you can achieve this.

Towers are (at least as far as I'm aware) a Corp structure. Therefore your corporation needs to anchor the tower.

This can be achieved, there are people in the services area of eveonline forums that have high global standings, it isn't cheap, but he will join your corporation so you can obtain his standings boost.

As Darina says, your corp faction standings is the aggregate of your members standings, therefore, all members but the CEO leave the corp, the patsy character joins.

Your aggregate corp standings adjust over time, please see the comments below. You can then anchor the tower, once the tower is anchored, the patsy leaves and everyone rejoins...

Do bare in mind you will have to fuel it etc, and if it ever goes down you are back to square one.

Also you will find it difficult in terms of LP for the charters you will need for fuel, so you will have to buy them off the market also.

If I get the chance when I get home I will try to find an example forum post (unless someone could be kind enough to post it for me ) :)

I thought CCP had changed it so that DT doesn’t instantly snap change your standings but instead it now moves up/down gradually over dseven days?

ahhh didn’t know they changed that…. Sneaky, i’ll ammend my post, certainly was an after D/T change when I did it a good few years ago admittedly.

Rashmika is sort of correct. It works differently depending on if it a change to an existing character’s standing or a new character joining. It used to be for both cases that after DT the shown average moved toward the calculated average. CCP called this “decaying toward the average over time”. It still took several days for a large change though. This still happens but gradually and consistently and not in steps after DT. Now, for new joiners it takes exactly one week for their standings to be included.

Probably the fastest way is to use the services of a corporation that already has the correct standings. Plan: - make a new toon and let it train anchoring skill to be able to anchor a tower :-) - pay iskies to let character join above corp - the toon will now 'inherit' automatically the standings of said corp - let toon anchor your pos - profit? Can be done in a matter of days... and without doing the whole sister corp thing...

Yes MegabitOne, but any towers the alt anchors will remain in the corp whcih the alt was in at hte time they were anchored. You cannot transfer a POS from Corp to Corp by moving members. A POS is launched for a Corp, and remains a Corp asset attached to said Corp.

couple of things that need to be stated on this one. A) joining a corp to do this means A you need to be given the appropriate rules in a corp, that most corps are touchy about giving to new members, but ok they may if you pay them iskies. B) when you launch a tower and anchor it, it becomes a corp asset… How do you expect to take the tower with you? There are characters out there that tout for business, basically all characters but 1 leave corp and this character joins, your corp standings increase, you anchor the tower, he leaves and everyone rejoins… jobs a gooden!

This has been answered many times before. When you asked the question, a list of other possible questions that match yours was shown, and they would have given you the answer you seek.

However, in summary, your corporation needs a standing with the faction that owns the space you want to setup a POS in, and the standing required is in proportion to the system's security level. For 0.7 sec space, your corp needs 7.0 standing to anchor a POS, 0.6 sec needs 6.0 standing, 0.5 sec = 5.0 standing. You can not anchor a POS in 0.8, 0.9 or 1.0 security space.

Your corporation's standings are the average of all your members' personal standings with the faction. So to improve the corporation standing you must remove all members that do not have the correct standing and wait for a week for the game servers to recalculate your corporation standing. You could also ask your members to improve their standings by running COSMOS missions, running data centre missions, or running a lot of normal NPC missions for the faction you are interested in.

The instructions for this site encourage asking questions, even if they’ve been asked before as it stimulates conversation.

That is true, but if you don’t read the answers that the site offers you first then you are wasting a lot of time. Conversation is good, but trying to find your own answers leads to better understanding in the long run. Also, answering the same question three times in two months (for example) is a little boring for the responders.
