An order to join, dock at any station owned by the faction you wish to join and hunt through the station services buttons. you will find one marked "Militia office". click that. in the bottom right-hand corner of the result window you will find another button marked "join".

Seemples.

You need to have either:- A) a minimum standing of +0.5 with the faction you wish to join or B) a "letter of recommendation" which is a redeemable item handed out to new characters on new accounts which allows you to bypass the standing requirement if, say, you are a Gallente toon trying to join the FDU.

Corporations can join provided their corporate standing with that faction (the average of all the players' standings) is high enough. only the CEO or a director may click the button to make their corp join the FW.

Alliances may not formally join FW, but some have been known to involved themselves anyway.

I didn’t know about the letter of recommendation, neat. And 05, not 2.0? Am I confused or did they relax the standard?

that was from memory and is possibly wrong. I’ll edit if that turns out to be the case.

confirmed: 0.5 according to all the sources I’ve double-checked on. I don’t remember it ever being anything other than 0.5 tbh.

Your Corp can only join factional warfare if it is not part of an alliance. I think this is because FW is sort-of like an alliance setting for your Corp.

An alliance can not join FW as an alliance, but can disband and join as several corps.

Individually, you have to be in an NPC corp to join up if your Corp can't or won't join.
