How do I lock down BPO's inside a wormhole POS?

I want the BPO's to stay inside a corp hangar tab only directors have permission to remove stuff from. But I want to allow all the corp members to be able to do research/copying from the BPO's. The scientific networking skill isn't going to help here since there is no station.

What kind of role do I need to create to allow this? Will the blueprints show up in the corp blueprints tab of research and industry?

You can put all the bpos in a tab which regular members can only see the contents of. That way they can make copies that will be delivered in a tab they have access to.

Which would allow everyone to manufacture and have access to bpos without being able to steal them.

Im doing it as I right this.

This appears to be working fine, and I tested it with an alt.

No you can't do anything with a locked BPO unless it is:

a) in a station and you are using the station facilities (assume this works for outposts too)

or

b) it is in a station where your corp has an office and you have manufacturing and/or research facilities at a POS in the same system AND you have the skill Supply Chain Management (for manufacturing) or Scientific Networking (or research or copying). Note the BPO will need to be in the corp hangar for this to work.

So it would seem that in your current situation you are stuck with either having them locked but useless or having them unlocked and stealable.

If memory serves you can specify different levels of access for different “folders” in the corp hangar so you could keep the expensive BPOs in a restricted folder and the cheap stuff in an open folder.

Will need to verify that BPO’s return to the same folder after delivering the research job. Still, this could allow us to give newer corp members access to the pos once we have locked down all valuables.

So that’s back to what we already do: restrict access to the pos with the research labs. Was hoping to get more corp members to do research, but looks like there is no way without trusting them with all the bpo’s.

If the blueprints are locked down no one can remove them without a succesfull vote to unlock them first.

So simply giving anyone who might want to use them access to the hanger would be fine.

I think construction might require people be able to take stuff out of said hanger (if that was something people wanted to do with the blueprints?) but again, no one can removed the blueprints themselves, director or not, because they are locked down.

I think that is how it works, been a while for me!

To propose a lockdown vote simply r-click on the BPO and I believe there is an option there. All shareholders need to vote majority "yes" for the lockdown to succeed.

Manufacturing can be done with bpc’s made from the respective bpo’s, so that isn’t a concern here. I’m not certain if you can still do research on a locked bpo inside the corp hangar of a pos. The labs still say they want the bpo inside to start research.
