A freind of mine had told me a proteus can have a drone BW of 160 but i checked the base hull and there is no base drone BW and the drone subsystem only puts it up to 75. i wanted to confirm that the proteus could have a BW large enough to have 5 heavy drones.

The Augmented Capacitor Reservoir Engineering Subsystem gives you +25 Mb and +100 m3 drone bay.
The Drone Synthesis Projector Offensive Subsystem, gives you +75 Mb and +125 m3 drone bay.
For a total of 100 Mb and 225 m3 (as the hull has 0 Mb and 0 m3 drone bay), and thus 4 Heavy Drones can be controlled, max, with the Proteus.
It can, however, hold as many as 9 heavy drones - though that extra space may be best used to hold Electronic Attack (web/damp/ECM) Drones, Logistics (shield/armor rep) Drones, and/or Light, Medium, Sentry drones for other uses - depending on what you're doing with the ship.

Just confirming that these numbers are correct. While a Proteus has the drone bay for as many as 9 heavies, it can only control 4.
