does anyone know why the price of the mining foreman mindlink implant increases so much ?
it was sold for ā50mil before january 2011 and now it is sold for 200mil on Jita market. Did CCP make this implant more attractive or rarer ?
Thx

I don't know it for sure but i suspect a shift in supply / demand.
All Mindlinks come as Reward for Storyline Missions. With the last Update a lot of new Storylines where added (40 I think), I guess not many of them giving a Mindlink as reward, so the overall Supply decreased.
Due to Hulkageddon I guess some have been lost and a slightly higher demand was generated. But this shouldn't impact the market too badly. I suspect buyouts beforehand in anticipation of rising prices that led to the higher prices as a self fulfilling prophecy.
The Mindlink attributes have not changed so this is nothing to do with it being more attractive.
I believe (though not 100% certain) that these items are not seeded directly onto the market by "npcs" but are placed there by players who obtained them in another way (maybe npc rat drop or loyalty point store) so I would say this is purely down to supply and demand.
You can tell an npc placed order as they always start with a 365 day duration and players cannot select more than 3 months when placing an order.
Mindlinks are rewarded in storyline missions and sold by players http://skilltrainingcomplete.com/questions/5738/mindlinks-who-makes-them-and-is-there-bpo
Another effect on the market was the removal of the Learning Skills and return of the SP's invested in them to the characters. So suddenly, a lot of characters where able to invest those SP's to get new skills instantly. With news skills come the ability to pilot more ships and use more equipment. So more across the board, prices went up as everyone brought the ships and equipment they could now use. In areas where there was good supply, prices have returned to normal but many items are still selling at a higher price due to this.
You can always mining mish one.
Thx all for your answers, those make sense the price of the mining mindlink started to increase just after incursion release more storylines = less mindlink Hulkageddon and more skilled pilots increase demand
Well, useless to wait until price goes down again :((
