Sounds fantastic! ORE Industrial Skill Bonus: 5% to Tractor Beam and Salvager Cycle Time and 60% bonus to Tractor Beam Range and Velocity per level.

So this means we will have 20km (base) + 20 * 300% or 80km range tractor beams going at 500m/s * 4 or 2km/s! Which also means you can fit mwd on the noctis while salvaging if needed, and the tractor beams will be able to keep up. With base 155m/s speed, further slowed by cargo exapanders, mwd will be very useful. Unlike t1 industrials, noctis has enough pg to fit 10mn mwd, and some shield extenders.

Now marauders are looking a lot less attractive. Plus with 3 low slots it can fit 3 cargohold expanders with a base cargo size of 1460 m3. 400 calibration, so perhaps a med salvage tackle rig and a med cargohold optimization. This will make salvaging after missions a pleasure!

Edited to reflect Serker's correction.

In fact, it is 60% speed and velocity BONUS per skill level. So it is 300% bonus at level 5, resulting in 4 times improved range. It will be 80 km and 2 km/s speed.

indeed... why shouldn't i?

The only thing i don't like of that ship is the shape but it's not that important in the end when you have such a good boost for the salvagers and tractor beams

Yes, I will use it. Its good for missionrunners. If you fly in a fleet then one of the fleetmember can take this ship and clean your asses :)

The bonuses to tractor beam and salvaging are worth it enough. For those concerned about space 1.) It's more than twice that of a BS and 2.) Get and alt or a buddy to haul for you if you plan on salvaging more than the cargo hold.

Absolutely will use it.

I think its worth it, gotta give it a try. But Its more worthy if u fly in a fleet, like you and an alt, u kill all the reds in missions and use your salvager to clean all the mess, I think its faster and leaves ur slots for weapons in the killer ship. Also, in some missions I usually lose a lot of time to tract all the wrecks and sometimes it fills my BS storage, making me have to go back and forth with it....think of that in mission with lots of clusters via accel gates.....its boring to go back and forth...if u got an alt with such ship it would be really faster, just warp in the killer, do your job and warp in the salvager =D

I did the math and wrote a blog post comparing the Noctis to destroyers, battleships, and the Hurricane for salvaging.

Summary: It's priced slightly more expensive than a Hurricane, yet it has 1.5 times the cargo capacity, it's slightly speedier, and it has ship bonuses that extend its salvaging range to 60km and three times the tractor beam speed.

It beats all of them in bang for the buck. I'll definitely use it.

I think Hurricane is better to salvaging. Also bses. I saw at screen only 1,4k cargo and 3 low slots at Noctis. Its not worth it.

With a 20 km tractor range, you’ll waste your time flying to target.
