NPC Corp Question

When you leave a Player corp do you rejoin your old NPC corp that you started the game with, or do you join the standing NPC corp of what ever station or area of space you happen to be in at the time?

The NPC corp you return to after leaving a player corp is determined by your race and bloodline.

Hmmm…that’s interesting and looks as if it may be true…Ecaf is Gallente Gallente and ended up in The Scope but I know for certain I was in a Scope station when I left my first corp…OK then good…I was wrong and now we know the right answer. Is it possible to move the accepted answer to CanHas who clearly deserves it more than me!!?

Keep in mind also that it is possible to move from player corp to player corp without the NPC medium. Although this isn’t related enough to warrant a full answer space.

Thanks all for the input! Was just a curious thing I had noticed before and this reply certainly sounds like the answer to my quandary.

I was of the same thinking as CanHasGank. I've never gone from a player corp to NPC one, but it certainly explains why some pilot info sheets describe them as repeatedly returning to one particular NPC, that doesn't normally have a 'join' option.

I have done this a few times and think I have worked out the system although wouldn't be upset to be proven incorrect. The first time you leave a player corp you will join the NPC corporation that owns the station you are in at the time. If you then later on leave another player corp you will go back to the NPC corp you were in the first time you left a player corp regardless of what station you happen to be in. I tried once to pick which NPC corp I wanted to be in by finding one of their stations but it just put me back in the previous NPC corp I had been in.
