NPC Dropped - Modules

NPC looted modules account for a substantial quantity of the Market volume. Will CCP ever remove Module drops from the loot table (except named items) to make the player economy even more complete?

CCP reduced the drop rate of meta0 modules during the tyrannis expansion. This was specifically to address the concern that reprocessing these was depressing the price of minerals. A mission runner could produce a lot of minerals by reprocessing the meta0-1 loot, sometimes comparable to what a miner would be able to in the same time.

Personally, I think the drop rate of meta0 items from rats should be reduced even further, perhaps to zero. The drop rate of named items could be tweaked slightly higher to rebalance. Then meta0 items would come only from player manufacturing, and mission runners would spend less time sorting though piles of meta0 loot for named items.

No. CCP on the economic reports consistently mentions balancing the loot-tables and the minerals there in. I do not believe they will be doing any major balancing, just some tweeking and testing.**

**Testing? Yes, sometime after geting the good Dr Economist on their staff, ccp changed zydrine via loot drops, drone drops and mineral spawns as a test to see how the price/demand would aggregate across the universe.
