Looking for some fleet action.
Without accounting for the risk and difficult factors, wich classes of wormhole net more ISK than lvl5 missions (LP, Bounty, Loot accounted for)?

to do a LVL 5's you will need at least a gang of 6-8+ RR BS's
2 Cov ops probers to find anoms and keep an eye on wormhole entrances, provide warp ins etc.
1 - 2 Salvagers & 1 cloaky or unscannable hauler, hauler is there to empty the salvager into, but this can be done on any other ship with a large cargo capacity, you get the picture.
and in an ideal world, a carrier for reship & fighter support
Risk I would put at between 8/10 & 10/10 DED level.... This is hardcore.
Fleet money can be insane I once did a lvl 4 with a fleet of 10 and we each came away with half a bill of sleeper components etc for a nights work, so level 5's will be better and harder.
Warning I seriously doubt you will be able to do a lvl 5 solo, I have heard of Dreads going down in lvl 5's
Also different wormholes have different effects, some are very bad for armour tankers and some are bad for shield tanking be careful.
I will try to find the site I use to tell what sort of wormhole it is, but I'm at work so can't let you know now.
Wormhole help tools: EveHQ.exe (http://evehq.battleclinic.com), WormholeThingie.exe (I’m at work too, so you’ll need to google it), Dotlan (http://evemaps.dotlan.net/wormholes)
I think you misunderstood me. I am trying to compare lvl5 missions against wormholes to find wich classes of wormhole can net more isk than lvl5 missions. I can imagine Class6 WHs do give more profit than lvl5, but do Class5 too? What about Class4?
Ahhh apologies that makes more sense….Well making money from wormholes is a bit tempermental, in a wormhole system you can, mine, plex, codebrake and salvage, PI. Number of sites vary as with quality, a chocked full of signature class 4 wormhole can occupy a gang of players for days…I dread to think what sort of ISK a system like this could generate but billions would be likely. I never really lived in a wormhole though just go on the odd expodition however everytime I’ve spent a day in there I’ve always came out a plex or more richer!
then again you could go in a class 4 which has bad side effects for your ship, poor number of signatures of a lame quality and get very little… then the market may slump for sleeper components (doubt it) the need for lots of different ship types, code breaker salvager etc… safer income in lvl 5’s but definately more money and risk in any “Dangerous unknown parts of space” wormholes
Once a group spends days in a class 4 w-space you will find that the signatures begin to dry up for a while, with the possibility of not having anything to do in your WH for days except try to catch people passing through it. I'm guessing that depending on your group size, class 5 and 6 WHs will be the same. PJHarvey has an excellent set of blog posts that show how he makes ISK when the WH sigs are not coming up. (tl;dr: everyone maps out the chain of WHs until a good route to a good w-space is found where loot can be dragged through to your home w-space. Requires dedication, time and reliable team mates.)
Level 5 missions can be pulled up all the time and done whenever you are online, and there is no hunting for sigs and neighbouring w-spaces. The only risks to maximum profit being lowsec pirates and/or ninja salvagers. And bad ship fitting :)
I must admit that I have not worked with a group big enough to take on class 5 WHs or lvl 5 missions, but if both scale up the same way from lvl 4 missions and class 3/4 WHs then lvl 5 missions work out more efficient than class 5 WHs in earning ISK. Therefore, I suggest that class 6 WHs will give you more ISK than any mission, profits are only exceeded by some lucky DED 10/10 finds.
I am not certain whether it is possible to make a real comparison between the two as they are so diverse.
I lived in a class 3 wormhole for 6 months and could with a lot of planning run radar and mag sites with a couple of passive drakes, however I needed support ships to probe, slavage and unlock the cans and haul etc. The potential for isk was good but it required a lot of time, plannng & support to make it successful.
Running level 5 missions is really about DPS and tanking with only a minimum of back-up and so time wise should be a lot quicker.
I suppose if I had to make a call, I would say level 5 missions would make more isk than even the most difficult class 6 wormhole just on time alone. You could probably run a couple of level 5 missions in the time it would take just mapping out and assembling a wormhole raiding party.
Once I cleared a c2 wh with 2 other guys, we got 100m each. Dunno for lvl 5 income.
Are you talking solo or group?
