Some blueprints have an attributes tab that shows research time.
There are multiple entries:
Material Research Time:
and
Material Research Time (You):
The question is what skills effect the time under the (You) section.

Training Metallurgy is the only skill I can think of that changes your Material Research Time.
"Research Material Time" is how long it would take someone with no skill levels in Metallurgy to research one level of Material Research on the blueprint.
"Research Material Time (You)" is how long it would take you with your Metallurgy skill to perform one level of Material Research on the blueprint.
