Should I train drone skills before or after remapping from PER/WIL to INT/MEM?

Right now I am +10 Perception and +4 Willpower, training ship and weapon skills, and I'm almost where I want to be.

For my remap, I am planning to do +10 Intelligence and +4 Memory, to train electronics and shield skills, and a few science skills.

Since drone skills have Memory as primary, and Perception as secondary, would it be more efficient to have +4 primary with a base secondary, or +10 secondary with a base primary?

I have all 11 Learning skills to 5, and +4 implants on all stats.

EDIT: Just realized it's +10/+4, not +9/+5, fixed.

You will gain one skillpoint per primary attribute point and half of one skillpoint per secondary attribute point per minute. This is of course increased by 10% because of your Learning skill level.

So you will gain 5.5 sp per minute from increasing your Memory by 5 points and lose 4.95 sp per minute from reducing Perception by 9 points.

So you will be better off by 0.55 sp per minute (33 per hour) after remapping.

Sorry, got the numbers screwed up, it’s +10/+4.

So using your calculations, remapping would gain me 4.4 points for memory, but lose me 5.5 points for perception.

All in all, better to do drones before the remap. Thanks for the numbers.

With 10-4 split, you are reducing your secondary by 10 so lose (10/2) 5 SP/minute but increasing your primary by 4 so gain (4/1) 4 SP, so if you make this change your base SP (before Learning Skill) will be (4-5) -1 SP/minute.

Therefore train drones before you remap.

Note: Learning skill will increase the numbers but not effect the ratio so for "is it better or worse" calculations, it can be ignored.

On everything regarding efficiency on training you can use a program called EveMon where you add everything you want to plan and it can optimize attributes as well as learning skills you should train.

Install. Import your character via API. Then go "Plans/New Plan". Add all the skills you want to add via the skill browser.

Then you can use "Toggle remapping point" icon to the left to insert a place where you want to remap. Then click that "point" and choose optimize. Now you will see all your skills in the list you've added either goes positive time or negative time depending on if the remapping adds training time or reduces it.

It's much easier if you just test it. Short explanations without pictures just isn't that good.
