Why don't give ccp anyone kill rights for macro miners, so we can kill them immediently, instead of banning them.

Skyrocketing prices would definately hurt those building and drive up the cost of everything, but miners would make more income too - so it's kind of six of one half dozen of the other...

Botting and cheaters are a pain for honnest players, they should get tarred and feathered...
As for killrights, you sure rather want to ban them ;) But false positives are always an issue, and as most MMOs around, CCP doesn't have the manpower to have all their game masters look at everybody's account and playstyle...
People cheating are just disturbing the economy and game balance. "cheap" materials is an illusion because you also need to sell your stuff MUCH cheaper due to raw materials being so widely available.
You lose money because of those guys, period.

I agree in principle but the difficulty is in accurately indentifying them. It is not as easy as you might think and I can imagine the uproar that ensue when a genuine player gets killed as a result.

Not a macro miner here, but i do profit from those miners. As a builder i find that if you consider the options a macro miner sells minerals cheaper than someone who wasted the entire day for it. Not saying macro's are in any way right, but prices on minerals would skyrocket. you may argue that prices wouldn't increase, but the only reason they are where they are now is because the macro miners sell cheap and everyone that's not macroing is trying to turn a profit so they have to sell for a bit lower than that. As for the kill rights on all macro miners, no way to really regulate it and like kudak said, might flag someone that is simply mining and that would suck hulk down the tubes.
