Skill training @ inactive account

My friend faced next problem when he was too busy to play EVE Online. It was ~6 hours to Battlecruisers lvl 4 skill completion. He added Battlecruisers level 5 in the end of training queue. Than due to some problems he did not play EVE completely for some time, estimated 16 days after he updated skill queue. Account has expired. But when he reactivated account and entered game, he noticed that only lvl 4 Battlecruisers have learned and all time when Battlecruisers skill trained to 5 was lost (Training time was returned by writing a petition).

So now a question: is that issue fixed at that moment?

"Ghost training" (the continued training of skills on inactive accounts) was removed by CCP when they added the skill queue.

As I understand it you get 3 days of training after the account expires.

To expand: This is intentional from CCP so people won’t set a long skill and cancel their account while it trains. It’s more fair to the actual paying customers this way.

No, account was active ~13 more days, so he can expect a learned skill Battlecruisers lvl 4 and partially completed Battlecruisers lvl 5, but got only 4 lvl and untrained 5 lvl.

That’s probably why the petition succeeded in giving your friend the sp back. Don’t expect that again.
