I have been offered 4 storyline missions so far and they all tell me that my standings are not high enough to offer me a mission after I have done 1 mission for them. How do I sort this out? I have trained Connections up to lvl 3 to no effect.

These agents are not normal agents and don't give you missions if you just turn up and ask for one.
You can only get a mission from them when they offer you one, usually after having completed 16 normal missions.
