Taking a break, should I take down my POS?

Asked by [ Editor ]

I’m going to take a break from EVE for a while. I have a corp that just me and an alt and a small tower, highsec POS.

I’ll remove any valuable materials from the POS and unanchor the labs and arrays. But, should I leave the tower up?

I’ll probably be back and would rather not redeploy the POS because the system is crowded and the moon might not be available.

Will a small tower be safe for a few months? Any other reasons to take it down?

It’s probably good idea to completely remove your POS even if it is in high sec.

As you have mentioned, system where you have POS is crowded so it could be seen as easy target when it runs out of fuel and goes offline. Also, since your corp will be inactive, you can get war dec and POS ends on someones kill mail without you even know about it.

On the other hand, if you can risk losing POS or can affoard new one, leave it anchored and save yourself trouble when you get back in game.

I have to agree to Curious here. It’s the same advice i’d given in this situation.

+1 on that, btw
