Seen this concept in other topics and was wondering.. what is exactly a Macro Miner? Is there a difference from a "normal" miner? How can you tell the difference?

Macro mining is cheating........
Basically you get someone to write a program 'Macro' which mines for the player, so the player can go AFK and the miner can carry on indeffinately.
They vary in complexity from simply mining and jet canning when the hold is full, to doing survey scanning and totally controlling the ship depending on the compedency of the programmer.
Not to be confused with AFK mining which is absolutley fine!
If you suspect someone of Macro mining I suggest you report it to CCP.
It is very difficult to tell if someone is macro mining, basically only way to tell is to get the player to do something out of the ordinary to prove it isn't a program, usually this requires losing ones ship to concord in the fall out which basically sux.
