Why is there no Command or capital ship that can Mine?

I have been playing for close to 6 years and there is one question that has always been around. Why is there no Command or Capital class mining ship that can mine? This class would be used in 0.0 space as a way of making it more worthy for a solo or small mining corp. to head down in 0.0 space. Yes I know there is a hulk tank fit however the cargo space is some what limited for it to be the last tier mining ship. The orca and the Rorqual were made mainly to support and host mining fleets and for the most part they just sit there and give off bonuses. Now the rorqual does a little more it can keep 5 clones with in it along with storing 5 hulks with in it's ships bay. But neither the Orca or the Rorqual are miners.

So why are there no command or capital class miners?

Because there is an over abundance of minerals already. Adding a ship like that would increase mineral supply by 20% or more. Mineral markets would crash. Ship and Module markets would crash shortly after.

well if a orca is around 360 mill, a rorqual 1 billion. i imagine an actuall capital miner ship will be costing 3 to 5 billion isk. imagine a huge monster hulk 6 slots strip miners and bonuses plus drone and shield bonus.

capital = expensive. ppl currently are AFRAID of taking a simple hulk of 138 million to a belt in 0.0 imagine a billion isk ship? maybe thats why ccp havent even think about it. players are afraid to lose a hulk they will never take out a capital to mine.

It Exists, its called the VeldNaught, Cribba owns it, its a Dread that mines in highsec, because Chribba is a boss.

Whilst the basic facts here are true he doesn’t have it because he is a boss (although clearly he is). You used to be able to make capital ships in high-sec but then they changed the rules so that you can’t. Given that you cannot create a cyno in high-sec and capitals (except Freighters and JFs) cannot use stargates, Chribba’s Veldnaught would not be able to return if it ever left the system it is in.

I don't think they would make a Command or Capital ships that they would make into a mining ship. If any thing they might make T2 Mining Barges and T2 Exhumers before then
