Will I be able to do The Blood-Stained Stars Epic Arc without a cruiser?

I've just finished all the tutorial missions and I'm thinking about heading to Arnon to do this mission arc but will I need to train up to (and buy) a cruiser first or can i complete it in a destroyer?

"Burning Down the Hive" is the first mission that gives new players trouble. You'll lose your ship if you are not careful. Drones do a lot of explosive damage, which is really bad if you are armor tanking. In general, try to kill the drones at range, and keep moving. Fit an afterburner to help dictate range, and speed tank a bit. Drones are weak against EM damage, If you're flying a thrasher, use EMP S.

I completed all of it in a Catalyst destroyer with help near the end of the arc. Learn cruisers while doing it so you can use them near the end if you want, but as long as there are a few people willing to help with the later missions it won't be entirely necessary.

I haven't done the mission in a frig personally, but most people who go straight to the Arnon arc after tutorials seem to generally be able to handle all but the last mission. In the last mission, the rat has a pretty decent tank, and it can be hard to take down with low level weapons. If you're in a player corp already, asking them for help would be a good idea for it, or going to places like the 'HelpMyMissions' channel in game.

I did the entire arc in a Amarr destroyer (Coercer) with 7 beam lasers (long range lasers) and an afterburner. I never got shot at until the last mission. There I got help from 2 people in the Eve University corp via their public chat channel "E-UNI". (a good newb corp for learning btw).
