Wormholes: pointless for newbs?

I only have 7.5 mil sp, but its all combat sp. Someone told me i would be wasting my time in WH's. Is this true? Is it pointless for a newb to join a WH corp?

Something important to remember about wormholes is that the salvage is what makes you money. All you need is a battlecruiser (like a drake) and a salvager to start making money.

Remember to use your directional scanner frequently, so players do not sneak up on you. Also, it's important to find out how difficult a wormhole is before you enter, and REMEMBER TO BRING SCAN PROBES AND MAKE BOOKMARKS! The last thing you want is to become stuck in a wormhole.

So yes, it is totally viable for new players to enter a wormhole provided they know what they are doing and are careful.

You can do C1 whs on a 14 day trial w/ a caracal.

It takes forever, not efficient, and generally suicide compared to a drake or other BC but it is possible.

It depends on that what skills you have and what ship/fit you can use. If you want to make solo wh, you need to have nice BC related skills with good tank setup - best setup is passive shield drake. If you want to join corp in wh, it depends on the corporation and wh level, every corp need newbie player that takes care of salvage etc, if you have bc/bs skills you will be also big help in pve.
